The way
congratulatory messages and tributes are delivered in academic settings is
beginning to change. No longer reliant on physical flower boards that pile up
and generate waste after events, DigiFlora — a pioneer of digital flower boards
in Indonesia — has partnered with Tarumanagara University in a strategic
collaboration aimed at creating a more environmentally friendly campus.
This
partnership was formalized through a signing ceremony between Irwan
Ardiansyah, CEO of DigiFlora, and Rorlen, S.E., M.M., Head of the
Public Relations and Multimedia Office, representing the university leadership.
The event was also attended by Prof. Dr. H. Ahmad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn.,
M.M., Rector of Tarumanagara University.
Through this
collaboration, DigiFlora’s digital flower boards will be introduced as an
alternative for various campus events such as graduation ceremonies, university
anniversaries, academic appointments, and other internal occasions. This
initiative is expected to reduce the dependence on conventional flower boards,
which often become waste after a single day of use.
The digital
flower board innovation offers a tangible solution to the classic problem of
post-event waste. Unlike traditional boards, which are typically discarded,
DigiFlora’s version features dynamic visuals that can be accessed online,
delivering the same heartfelt messages—without the carbon footprint.
Tarumanagara
University’s move aligns with its commitment to sustainability principles. By
embracing digital technology, the university demonstrates that innovation and
environmental consciousness can go hand in hand.
This
collaboration also sends a positive message to other educational institutions,
encouraging them to evolve and leave behind outdated practices. Celebrations
can still be elegant, meaningful, and memorable—now without waste and
environmental harm.
